σχάρα (skhára), from Ancient Greek ἐσχάρα: the hearth. The traditional Greek way to grill meat, and the reason the whole restaurant smells this good.

Our story

Santorini, Athens, then Bloomsbury.

Nikos and Alex set out to bring Greek hospitality, and Greek flavour, to the heart of London.

Produce comes straight from Greece and from the best local butchers and grocers. Every dish is cooked by Greek chefs from recipes handed down through our families for generations. Sit down, breathe in the grill smoke and spice, and you'll be back at that beachside taverna before the dips arrive.
