The name

In Taiwan, a pork-belly bao is called hǔ yǎo zhū, “tiger bites pig”.

Fold a soft bun around slow-braised pork and it looks like a mouth mid-bite. Our bao follow that Taipei street-food tradition. Our rice bowls lean west, towards the chilli and numbing pepper of Sichuan.

    Made here, the long way

Service is quick, but the cooking isn’t. We ferment our own kimchi, pickle in-house and braise meat overnight in our own master stock.

  2. 02

    Rolled fresh, every day

Our signature bao are hand-rolled and steamed in our own kitchen, fresh every day.

  3. 03

    Sourced close to home

We buy meat and fresh produce from local suppliers and British producers who share our values. Supporting the local supply chain matters to us.
